Royal Mail - Part 2

Following my earlier post on Royal Mail, we came back a second time to try out more dishes, namely Lamb Fore Shank ($32) and Lobster Linguine ($28).

For desserts, we ordered the dessert platter for two ($28).

Royal Mail has a bar on the first floor. It serves the best selling UK beer, i.e. London Pride.
The bar has pretty good happy hour prices for its alcohol, i.e. $5 per pint of beer from 3pm to closing! A definite must try for a night of chill out!

The Royal Mail - Part 1

This was one of the places that we wanted to try and it turns out to be a surprise find! The Royal Mail is located as Ascott Raffles Place and it it open for lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday. It is one of the participating outlets under the Palate Membership too! This means that for 2 diners, you will enjoy 50% of the total bill (excluding drinks), provided that you order any 2 mains!

For reservations, do visit http://www.chope.co/sg/categories/restaurant/the-royal-mail!

One of our favourite is the black pepper cheese bread served prior to every meal. They are usually served warm, which makes you crave the soft and cheesy bun once you have finished it!

A welcome appetizer is served, which is likely to be different.

We ordered two starters, Sous-vide Half Maine Lobster ($24) and Pan Seared Foie Gras ($24) as we wanted to try a variety of dishes since this is our very first visit to the restaurant.

As for mains, we ordered Roast Prime Rib - Classic Cut ($58) and Kurobuta Pork Chop ($48).

Country Manna

Country Manna was one of the restaurants that I go to during my secondary school days.

I still remembered going to the branch at Century Square and feeling so excited as they have the Puff Pastry soup and it has this Player Piano that plays without a pianist.

Ever since they closed the outlet at Century Square and Suntec City, I have never seen a branch for several years. So I was so excited when I saw a Country Manna outlet at Suntec City.

The outlet at Suntec City was quite small.

We ordered the Set Lunch, which consists of their famous puff pastry soup, a main course, dessert, and a choice of coffee or tea.
