Triple 3

Heard many raves about the new buffet spread after the renovation.

Hence, we decided to give it a try.
Unfortunately, we did not manage to get hold of the menu before the meal as the staff indicated that they need a few days to send it over.

Sashimi - Was impressed with the presentation of the sushi after we told the chef what we want.

Cold Seafood

Sushi and fried items

Some of the delicacies served...

Tempura

Desserts

Ice cream - blueberry and pistachio. I love the blueberry ice cream as it has a strong and sweet taste. Very interesting flavour.

My Ramblings...

The spread was fine but the food was just normal only.
Nothing spectacular to rave about.

But, the buffet was expensive, i.e. 70 plus per person.
Without the 1 for 1 promotion, I guess I would definitely felt the buffet was overpriced.

Firstly, I would like to take Harper's Bazaar for giving me a pair of invites to the Gourmet Golf Experience.

It was awesome!

My Ramblings...
This was a great experience.

All of the canapes served were good. Of which, the food presentation by Shangri La was the most remarkable, i.e. glass plate served on blue placemat with printed food description.

Would definitely buy my tickets next year!

A wonderful scenery of Keppel Club...

My Ramblings...
Of all the dishes, we prefer the pasta.
The pizza has too much onions and the calamari is too oily.

Home Delivery - Superdog

Came across this home delivery service by superdog. Currently, they only delivers to Tampines, Pasir Ris, Changi, CBD, Bukit Merah, Queenstown, Alexandra and Chinatown areas only.

Ordered Ripper (Chicken) Super Value Meal which cost $6.20. Added an extra service of egg..

See the egg yolk..

And of course, fries!!

My Ramblings...
I am not accustomed to their ordering process. One places create a log-in profile and places their order online. Once the order has been made, you will receive a sms with the confirmation code. In order to activate the order, you have to key in the confirmation number into the system. Quite uncomfortable with the process as I am more used to someone taking my orders.

Nevertheless, for first time users, they are entitled to a cup of iced mocha.

The variety is limited but the quality is reasonable. They are also generous with their sauces. You can key in the number of packets of sauces required.

Isetan - Kyushu Fair

We went to the fair at Isetan for 2 consecutive weeks at Isetan, i.e. 11 to 22 March 2010.

Takoyaki - This was one of the best that we have ever tried. Ordered this twice. This is served hot with a huge slice of octopus. Yummy!

Seasoned Squid

Fried Squid - This is perfect if you like to have huge chunks of squid..

Seasoned Scallop

Potato Croquette - Got cheated again. When we sampled this at the counter, there seems to be additional ingredients inside. But, when we got this, it was just plain potato. Hai.

Fried Smelt Fish - This taste a bit similar to shisamo

I also topped the visit with a nice bucket of kumquat from kyushu. This cost 9 dollars.
This is taken together with the skin, which is not as sour as compared to the fruit.

My Ramblings...
This food selection served is pretty good. My favourite dish is the Takoyaki.
The Kyushu fair is one of the largest fair by Isetan, apart from Hokkaido.
This fair will now be held at Tampines Mall from 26 March to 4 April.
Will definitely give this fair a miss as the crowd at Tampines is always 4 to 5 times more than Orchard...
