Boucheron Event

I loved Boucheron....
I have always been eyeing their macaron rings, which has been featured in the first few pages of fashion magazines for quite some time.

The event was held at Ion Orchard by Harper's Bazzar. The dress attire for the night was Flirty Feminine Flair

Tried the Tentation Macaron rings as well. I love the bitten macarons with its filling of jewels. There are many colours available, depending on the stones used, i.e. green tsavorite, orange sapphire, deep purple amethyst, rich red rubies and dark brown diamonds. This supposedly represents the flavours of pistachio, lemon, violet, rose and chocolate.

The price of these rings varies depending on the size (there are two sizes) and stones used, the price ranges from 7k to 20k or so.

This is my favourite ring... =)

The following desserts were serve at the event.

Aint they lovely? Cupcakes with a ring (which is made of icing except for the diamond) on top

A fulfiling Saturday

This was very impromptu.

It was like 3pm and I have not had anything.
And we decided to grab lunch at Botak Jones (the one at Changhi Village).

So I ordered the beef burger and added friend egg, mushrooms and cheese.
At the end, my burger set cost like 15 bucks but it is definitely worth it!

And then dear ordered the Cajun chicken with mashed potatos and vegetable stew.

Feeling bored, we decided to make a trip to Ikea for its fried chicken wings..

The tray used to transport the food.

Swedish Meatballs...

A satisfied and fulfiling Saturday

Kyushu Fair

I am supposed to post these pictures long ago. Sigh...

This is one of the fairs that I am anticipating for.
You will know why later.

These are the items that we bought...

Fried Octopus

Scallops glutinous rice (they are the best especially when it is served piping hot) - I have been waiting for this to be here.

Grilled Scallops to go with the rice

Octopus

And of course, chocolate donut.

Yummy!

Food Buzz Challenge - #1 Ready, Set, Blog!

I have just participated in the Project Food Blog Challenge.

There are a total of 10 challenges.. Hmm.. Hopefully I can complete all 10 successfully.

Okay, first challenge of the day is to create a post that defines myself as a food blogger.
So, here goes...

I started this blog in 2008 simply because I loved to eat.
I wanted a place to scribble down all the places that I have been to, in Singapore as well as overseas.
Although some of my experiences may be a bit too indulgent, I wanted to jot all of them down.
So, in the future, whenever I wanted to re-visit any of the places again, I would have it all there.

After a few months, I started as a Featured Publisher in FoodBuzz, as well as, the Hearts rating for the places that I have been.

Hearts ratings ranges from 1 to 5.
1 means "I will give it a miss the next time"
2 means "I will probably give it a miss the next time"
3 means "Maybe I should give it a try"
4 means "Good"
5 means "All time favorites"

Initially, there were several factors - price, quality, quantity, service and overall.
Then I realised that to me a place that I wanted to visit again could be based on other factors as well.
So, now it has been reduced to only one factor - Overall.

Blogging has been a learning experience for me and at the same time, a sense of achievements as this is also my 180th entry to date already.

I guess being the next food blog star is to continue to pursue what you enjoyed most, which for me is trying out new places. Nothing beats to enjoying the whole process.

My 2011 resolution - I am getting myself a DSLR camera =)
