We stumbled across this famous conveyor belt sushi restaurant during our free days from our tour in Hokkaido.
The queues to this restaurant remains long all day, even though we went on a weekday.
Queues started even before the restaurant was opened.
We waited for about 30 minutes before our turn.
Supposedly, their sushi is made from fresh ingredients delivered directly from fishing ports in Hokkaido.
Pricing is also reasonable, i.e. ranges from JPY 130 (S$2) to JPY 400 (S$6.30)

My Ramblings...
This is our highlight during our trip.
The price is reasonable and the sushi served were very fresh.
In addition, the proportion of fish to rice is two times as compared to a typical sushi in Singapore.
This will definitely be one of the places to visit again!
Address : JR Tower Stellar Place 6th Floor
Opening hours: 11am to 11pm

Isetan - Tohoku Fair
The sushi served during the Tohoku fair was very fresh and good.
This is my favourite sushi. I have always liked mackerel but I do not like the numerous bones in the fish.
Hence, this sushi allows me to have huge chunks of mackerel but yet boneless.
On the left, the mackerel is marinated with vinegar.
On the right, it is just fried mackerel.
I am still quite sore that I could get hold of the cheese cake.
It was sold out within the first day of the fair. =(

My Ramblings...
This concept is interesting. The price is comparable to a typical meal (i.e. $15.80++ for lunch) but the patrons have to complete the buffet within 90 minutes. With a time limit, the amount of food that a person can take is restricted.
But, I would still prefer to pay more for a buffet with no time limits although we do not have a problem finishing a buffet in 90 minutes.

Town Restaurant at Fullerton
I have heard many raves about the buffet spread at Town Restaurant.
Hence, we decided to give it a go.
Pricing for their seafood buffet dinner are as follows:
Adult - 58++
Child - 25++
There are one of the few hotels that served Boston Lobsters. However, the lobsters that we had was not very cooked. The meat was still transparent.
Selection of cold dishes and sashimi
Some of the hot selections
This is my favourite food from the buffet - glutinous rice and custard bun
Desserts and nonya kueh

My Ramblings...
I must say we were very disappointed as we expected cooked lobsters to be cooked, and not semi-cooked.
In terms of selection, it could have been better. This is one of the first time that we went to a buffet that do not serve meat.

My Ramblings...
I love the ambience as it is a French theme restaurant.
This was the first time that we sat through the whole buffet seating, i.e. from 11.30am to 3pm.
Food was good especially the seared foie gras and desserts.
It was quite disappointing that they did not serve everything in the menu, especially the Emmental Cheese, Camembert Cheese and Brie Cheese.
