Festive Buffet Menu - Carousel at Royal Plaza

Just went to Carousel last week for buffet dinner.
This is my second visit.

The prices for buffet dinner is as follows:
Weekdays:
Adult - $52++
Child - $35++

Weekends
Adult - $60++
Child - $40++

Menu for the particular day is as follows:

Mak's Noodle 麥奀雲吞麵世家

Went to this famous wan ton shop in Hong Kong.


The wan noodles are served in small bowls.
Rationale behind is to keep the noodles from turning soggy.

This is my first attempt at the Kai Lan.
The best that I had so far.

I love them...
1. It is not bitter, unlike most vegetables (I am not a vegetable person).
2. It is crunchy and juicy.
3. It just makes you detox (I guess this is just psychological...)



My Ramblings...
The portion is rather small, considering that I have a small appetite.
Not very used to soupy wan ton noodles though. Prefer mine with lots of sauce.
Nevertheless, the prawns used for the wanton is good.

Things I learnt in Australia

Marron ~ Refers to large freshwater crayfish found in Western Australia. Its taste is similar to lobster.

Barramundi ~ A common fish served in Australia.

Atrium Restaurant

This place supposedly serves one of the best dinner buffet in Perth and is located in Burswood.

The restaurant was packed.
Apparently, their buffets are always packed. Reservations has to be made few days in advance.

Did not find the buffet spread to be fantastic though.
Maybe I am just too used to "The Line" back in Singapore...

We ordered wine,



Our Entree - Shark Bay crab cake, crab, bacon & asparagus salad, tartare sauce



For main courses, we ordered 2 fish mains, namely,
1. Roasted red emperor, chorizo risotto, soft saffron aïoli, red pimento crust
2. Ocean trout, beetroot and orange purée, beetroot and fennel salad, blood orange dressing






And of course, no meal is complete without desserts!!!

I am in total bliss...

Margaret River Chocolate Company @ Swan Valley

At the entrance, one can grab a handful of either milk, white or dark chocolate while they browse the shop.




There's also viewing for the chocolate making process...


We also had a sumptuous breakfast there. There's an option of fried or scrambled eggs. Both look equally delicious.





And, top up with a coffee...

A nice place to spend a lazy day.
Would love to try their chocolate fondue on my next visit!

The Equinox Cafe @ Busselton Jetty

This cafe is located on the foreshore of Busselton Jetty at the end of Queen Street.

Just cannot help but tried their Lemon Meringue Pie
