Mondial Event
Was invited to a Mondial event today.
Mondial has this Signature collection called Excellent Cut label, which guarantees excellent cut, excellent polish and excellent symmetry.
Only D to G colour and IF to VS1 clarity can be found here.
Food and champagne were served during the event.
We received a bottle of wine at the end of the event.
St Regis - Lunch Tasting
Went to my best friend wedding lunch food tasting session at St Regis.
In Singapore, before you reserve for your wedding dinner banquet, there is usually a food tasting session where you can get to sample the food and alter the menu, decor etc before the actual day.
This is one of the table setting. There are two table setting to choose from.
The first dish - Three Treasures Combination - smoked duck breast, crispy shrimp ball and clams
Sharkfin soup - This is still a must have dish for every Chinese wedding dinner. There are some restaurants / couples who boycott sharkfin and replace this soup with something of similar value but this is still rare instances.
Sliced abalone with sea cucumber, broccoli and asparagus
Cod fish with shimeji mushroom and preserved vegetables
Deep fried chicken with lemon butter sauce
Hong Kong E Fu Noodles
Lime jelly with mango puree and pomelo with wedding cake
My Ramblings...
Unlike most wedding dinners, the servings at St Regis is on an individual basis.
There were a couple of menu items changes for the actual day.
Will post the pictures shortly.

Bread and Butter I really liked this wine a lot!
This Spanish white wine is light and fruity.

This dish is prepared by David Munoz.
This dish is paired with the wine above.
Dish layout

I like this innovative tomato dish - one tomato cooked different ways bring out different flavours in it.

Third dish - tuna belly braised in a charcoal smoked curry guanabana milk, black sesame and tomburi
This dish is prepared by David Munoz.
Fourth Dish - “the big duck burg”
duck hamburger, fine herb mustard, brown sugar ketchup, garlic bread slat
This dish is prepared by Ramon Freixa.
Fifth Dish - Black chocolate, green tea, passion fruit
This dish is prepared by David Munoz.
One word - Sour!

Petit fours Last but not least, the goodie bag... Was hoping for a bottle of wine though.
