My Ramblings...

A good place to go for tea lover or if you are looking for a place to meet up with friends and enjoy the skyline of the flyer.

Home Delivery - The Shepherd's Pie

I have recently started trying out places for takeaways...
Realised it is a challenge to find places with takeaways, besides pizza and who is able to deliver anytime etc.

Came across this place that serve Shepherd's Pie. There are various types available - chicken, beef, lamb and even vegetables. There are two versions - Classic and Black Pepper.

I have tried the Classic Chicken.
Loved it a lot as the the chicken is marinated in BBQ sauce, which makes it unique and less ge-lat.

My Ramblings...
One of my favourite place for takeaways.
The price is quite reasonable, i.e. $23.90 for a shepherd pie that can serve 4 people.
Operating hours are from 11am to 9pm. Hence, this would not be a good candidate for supper.

Seafood @ Sai Kung

Went to Sai Kung for dinner.
Sai Kung is one of the places for seafood in Hong Kong.

There's a wide variety of seafood outside every restaurant.
And, this is where patrons choose the seafood to cook their choice of dishes...

Abalones

Mantis Shrimp (known as Urinating Prawn in Hong Kong, i.e. 攋尿蝦)
The reason for his name is because of its tendency to shoot a jet of water when picked up.

Bamboo Clams

Crabs

Lobster

And interestingly, at every seafood shop, there will be tank filled with gigantic fish.
Look at the size of the fish as compared to my colleague's finger.....

Agnès b. le pain grillé

Agnes B has several cafes and branches in Hong Kong.
Went to this branch near to our hotel to try out the French food.

Something to kickstart our dinner...

All the utensils are served with the Agnes B cutlery...

Bread basket

Each bread in the bread basket has the "b" logo. Cool!

Mushroom Soup

Lobster flambé

Steak with foie gras

My Ramblings...
A pampering and delicious meal.
Will try the Cafe in the future.

Yung Kee Restaurant 镛记

This restaurant is famous for their roast goose.

We ordered the preserved eggs with pickled ginger - one of the best preserved eggs I ever had. The yolk is gooey and soft. Yummy!

Fried E Fu Noodles

Vegetables

Char Siew & Chinese Sausage - The char siew is cut in huge chunks.
As for the Chinese Sausage, it has a wine taste to it.

The Famous Roasted Goose

My Ramblings...
This is so good. Not for the health conscious though as the amount of oil used is very generous.

My favourite dish is the Chinese Sausage. This is very different from those sold in Singapore as there is a wine taste in it. And, it has tiny little particles of oil in it, which mets in your mouth. Ultimate Bliss!

My Favourite Dish in Hong Kong

Fried doughstick wrapped with rice noodle roll (also known as )

My Ramblings...
Delicious and sinful. I like!!!

Charming Cuisine 翠明軒海鮮酒家

Went to try the dim sum in Hong Kong.

This restaurant does not serve by the traditional method - push cart type.
Rather, one orders the items through the menu.

Fried Carrot Cake - one of the must-haves during dim sum

Egg Tarts - another must-haves during dim sum

Char Siew Bun - another must-haves during dim sum

Har Gau and Chicken Feet

Chee Cheong Fun

Dumpling Soup

Siew Mai

Steamed custard bun

Roasted Pigeon

My Ramblings...
My favourites are the dumpling soup and custard bun.
Loved the custard bun. Light yet creamy. Yummy.

As for the Char Siew Bun, it is a too watery.
Nevertheless, the quality of dim sum is good.
