My Ramblings...

The food was nothing fantastic and the queue was slow.

The coleslaw was too watery.
And, the mashed potato was not my style as it had a tinge of curry flavour.
As for the biscuits, was a bit disappointed as it wasnt what I had initially expected. Did not expected it to bread within a biscuit...

Nevertheless, will give the chicken another go first.
Hopefully, it will be good.

Mariner's Corner Restaurant

Went to the Singapore Mariners Club for dinner.
Used to patronize the restaurant since young.

The Club provides accomodation for seafarers. They offer rooms at reasonable prices, entertainment (i.e. Jackpot machinese), restaurant with cheap set lunches etc.

Table setting - Reminds me of Jack's place

My Ramblings...

The pricing of the food was reasonable.

However, as for the parking, was a bit shocked that one has to call the number before he/she is able to enter the carpark. The same goes when one leaves the place. A bit too unbelievable in this era. I guess the carpark utilization have to be very low.

Lunch at Penny Black

Tried the Breaded chicken with bacon.

Da Wan Zhou (Superbowl) The House of Congee

Went to Superbowl at Boat Quay for lunch a few weeks ago. Heard that the place serves Hong Kong style Cantonese porridge and that this place has been around for very long.

Braised peanuts

艇仔粥 - contains seafood and meat.

Chilli

My Ramblings...

There are many varieties of porridge to choose from and is similar to the century egg porridge at dim sum places.

Unfortunately, I do not have much preference for Cantonese porridge as they are blended.

My Ramblings...

Vaguely remembered that the Changi Village nasi lemak was good. The queue was so long and we waited more than half an hour for our turn. Somehow everybody queueing before us ordered at least more than 5 packets...

On top of that, the stall gave preferential treatment to bus drivers at the Changi Bus Terminal based on the reasoning that they do not have time. And so, this particular bus driver (appeared to be a China national) ordered not one but two packets during a time span of 10 minutes. Somehow after he ordered, one of his friends asked me to help them as well.

I totally understand that bus drivers have limited meal breaks timing. But, I seriously do not understand the need to jump queue when there are so many other stalls available nearby. It is very ridiculous especially when he can just order two packets separately.

I came to a conclusion that the nasi lemak is normal and pricy and hence do not feel the need to queue up for more than half an hour and making myself upset for no reason.
