Mariner's Corner Restaurant

Went to the Singapore Mariners Club for dinner.
Used to patronize the restaurant since young.

The Club provides accomodation for seafarers. They offer rooms at reasonable prices, entertainment (i.e. Jackpot machinese), restaurant with cheap set lunches etc.

Table setting - Reminds me of Jack's place

My Ramblings...

The pricing of the food was reasonable.

However, as for the parking, was a bit shocked that one has to call the number before he/she is able to enter the carpark. The same goes when one leaves the place. A bit too unbelievable in this era. I guess the carpark utilization have to be very low.

My Ramblings...

Old folks will definitely love this place. The ambience of the restaurant is the 70s to 80s Shanghai era and the decor of the place is very posh.

There are also performance of popular chinese sentimental ballads on stage in the evening, i.e. Teresa Teng etc.

In terms of price, it is quite expensive if we did not have the voucher. Understand that they are having a 1 for 1 set promotion at $68++.

Will definitely patronize this place again.

My Ramblings...

This was provided to us complimentary when we booked our accomodation with Sheraton Pattaya.

There were a variety to choose from and there were free flow of orange juice and crossiants.

However, I was a bit disappointed with their juice section as there was only a limited variety of fruits available. Where ready to drink juices bought off the shelf can be used, the staff use them instead of freshly squeezed juices.

In addition, they promised free flow of crossiants, pancakes and waffles. However, this was only provided at request and it took very long for them to prepare them. Perhaps the demand for them was not very high. Nevertheless, felt they should either rephrase or remove the sentence if necessary.
