My Ramblings...
I love the way it is served, i.e. the fish is longer than the rice.
In terms of cost comparison, the cost of 1 piece of sushi is equivalent to two pieces of sushi at Sakae.
Service was real bad, i.e. you really need to make sure you need to wave to them to take your orders etc.
Also, the queues are ultra long. We waited close to an hour before our turn.

My take, I would pay more for better service.

Urban Bites

This is my first time trying Mediterranean Cuisine.
It is located at Telok Ayer Street.

We ordered the Jallab, which is a made from carob (type of pea), dates, grape molasses and rose water.

Hummus - Made of chickpeas and blended with tahini (sesame paste), olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic

Chicken Kabab (served with Lebanese rice)

Kabab Teen - Lamb cooked with sweet fig in unique sauce

My Ramblings...
This was an interesting meal.
My favourite dish was the Hummus.
The Chicken Kabab was a bit too dry.
As for the Kabab Teen, I am not really a big fan of lamb.

In terms of cost, it averages about $25 to $30 per person.

Old Town @ Malaysia & Singapore

It was my first time trying Old Town at KL Airport.

Ordered the Assam Laksa, where the broth is made up of sardines.
Spicy and sour. Yummy. Although I ended up with gastric soon after.
We also ordered the curry chicken with bread.

I was so into the Assam Laksa that I actually went to the Singapore branch (Suntec City) to try the Assam Laksa a few days later.

The broth is not as thick. And the sardine amount is not as generous.
But, it taste quite ok.

My Ramblings...
Yummy. Will definitely go back and try the other dishes.
I love the thick noodles used for Laksa.
So tempted to go KL and try it again =)

High Tea @ d'Oracle Coffee Lounge (Putrajaya Marriott)

The high tea set cost RM 33.50 (which is approximately SGD15)

The tea comes in a gigantic pot, which is only a quarter full.

The three tier high tea.

My Ramblings...
The set is value for money.
It is very filling as they are quite generous with their sandwiches.

Dumpling from Feng Shui Inn

We tried the Bird Nest Dumpling (also known as Empress Dumpling) from Feng Shui Inn.
They also have the Emperor Dumpling, which consists truffle.

See the scallop at the top. The oval shaped thing beside it is steamed egg with bird nest.

Rating:

My Ramblings...
The taste of bird nest is not overpowering in combination with the dumpling.
The one with truffle should taste better as the taste is stronger.

Majestic Restaurant

Went to Majestic Restaurant for lunch.

Wasabi potato chips
Majestic Platter - consists of shark fin omelette, roast pork cubes, wasabi prawn and crispy soft shell crab

White Asparagus
Lobster Noodles

Sunday Sessions @ Beach Republic Samui

Decided to give the Sunday Brunch at Koh Samui a try.

We went to Sunday Sessions at Beach Republic for Sunday Brunch (supposedly the best brunch in Koh Samui). It cost THB 1,400 per person (approximately SGD 60).

My Ramblings...
I would say the buffet spread is good.
The only things that we were not used to was:
1. It was alfresco. We were not used to it as it was getting hotter and hotter while we eat.
2. There was only one complimentary drink provided. There was no iced water provided. So, we were like thirsty and hot.
