Beijing - Day 2

After a sumptuous breakfast, we went to Jade Factory 龙地美玉馆.
This is where they walked us through a talk on how to differentiate real vs fake jade.

After which, we proceeded to climb the Great Wall.
We went to the Juyong Pass (居庸关), which is one of the three greatest passes for the Great Wall of China.

We made it to the top! We decided to take the steeper route and the climb wasnt easy!

I initially thought going up will be the most exhausting. However, going down was not easy either. The steps were very steep. In short, you cannot really see the next step down. Hence, you just have to sit down and walk down one step at a time. Never count the number of steps left to the bottom as it will just make you shiver at the prospect of falling down.

After the climb, we went back to the Silk Factory for lunch.

The next stop after lunch is skiing.
You will have to pay for the cost of equipment.
Unfortunately, we were too tired to move.

The next stop is Bao Shu Tang. Their ointments are good for muscle aches, burns etc.
There was a live demostration where the presenter burned himself with hot metal and how the ointment helps the wound to recover in like 10 minutes?

Our final stop was dinner.
This was one of the better meal stops we have.
I love the braised duck rice. It was yummy!

After the tour, we bought drinks and food up to the hotel room.
This is one of the most adventurous meal I had in Beijing - Donkey meat.

On the bottom left, it is the Donkey Intestines while on the right, it is the Donkey Meat.

We also had this garlic sausage.
