Lai Wah Restaurant

Lai Wah Restaurant
44 Bendemeer Road #01-143

===========================================

Lai Wah Restaurant has been around for more than 50 years. My relatives have fond memories where they have patronized the restaurant since young. Apparently, Lai Wah is the founder for Yusheng and Yam Basket.

This year, they made advance reservation of at least 3 months to secure an indoor seating.
It is quite interesting how they operationalized the dinner.
  1. There are only two seatings - 5.30pm and 8.30pm.
  2. There are only two types of drinks served- orange juice or tea.
  3. No request for a bowl of rice will be entertained.
  4. All dishes are served together

For the reunion dinner, there are two menus - $438 and $528 (nett).
The key difference is that the $528 set serves abalone.
For our reunion dinner, we picked the $438 set.

Will I come back?
Definitely, it is very value for money and the food is quite good.
Typically, the standard during new year period tend to drop. But, I do not feel this way here.
